The comprehension of the laws which govern any material system, according to the learned words of American mathematical physicist Willard Gibbs, is greatly facilitated by considering the energy and entropy of the system in the various states of which it is capable. Over the last millennium, regarding human thermodynamics - the thermodynamical study of humans, we have begun to consider the energy and entropy of certain systems of humans in some of the various states in which these systems are capable. The further analysis of the latter is greatly facilitated when exact definition and study of the material particles comprising any particular human system is magnified. Through this magnification, the material particles come to be quantified as “human molecules”, people defined as molecules, and the chemical study of these molecules and the structures they form follows under name of “human chemistry” founded in 1809 by German polymath Johann von Goethe.

To increase public awareness of this elegant but little known reclusive branch of science, the new YouTube channel Human Chemistry 101 has been started, a semi-weekly video series on the science of the study of chemical reactions between human molecules.
