Human Thermodynamics :: Blog

The comprehension of the laws which govern any material system, according to the learned words of American mathematical physicist Willard Gibbs, is greatly facilitated by considering the energy and entropy of the system in the various states of which it is capable. Over the last millennium, regarding human thermodynamics - the thermodynamical study of humans, we have begun to consider the energy and entropy of certain systems of humans in some of the various states in which these systems are capable. The further analysis of the latter is greatly facilitated when exact definition and study of the material particles comprising any particular human system is magnified. Through this magnification, the material particles come to be quantified as “human molecules”, people defined as molecules, and the chemical study of these molecules and the structures they form follows under name of “human chemistry” founded in 1809 by German polymath Johann von Goethe.

To increase public awareness of this elegant but little known reclusive branch of science, the new YouTube channel Human Chemistry 101 has been started, a semi-weekly video series on the science of the study of chemical reactions between human molecules.

→"Are we Conscious Entities?"←

[1] Knowing, according the science of human thermodynamics, that the following expression is the typical molecular formula for one human being:

CE28HE28NE27OE27PE25SE25CaE25KE24ClE24NaE24MgE24SeE24FeE23CoE23
CuE23FE23IE23ZnE22SiE22MnE20BE20CrE20VE20SnE19MoE18NiE16

[2] Knowing, according the science of chemistry, that the following expression is the typical molecular formula for one unit of water:

H2O

Then, which case are we to argue?

(a) Both molecules are conscious
(b) The first molecule is conscious
(c) The latter molecule is conscious
(d) Neither molecules are conscious

Although the answer is clearly obvious, it is strange that only a rare few gleam this discernment. In the words of Sextus Empiricus [c. 100-200], "one cannot assert any proposition with any better justification than one can assert its contradictory."

Or, as stated by the English philosopher John Locke [1632-1708] "consciousness is the perception of what passes in man's own mind". Hence, as the mind is a molecular structure, being predominately hydrocarbons in compositional weight, we may reason that consciousness is "the perception of what passes energetically through those structures that form the central processing unit [CPU] of any bound state molecule, human or otherwise."

Just some quick thoughts for journey in your molecular mind!

This week we created the first ever HT-mobile, whose function is to seek out and help those in need of human thermodynamics. Like the Batmobile, but without rocket boosters.

Wednesday, April 27, 2005

Today we began constructing the first page of the human thermodynamics [HT] website. Our intentions are for this project to eventually culminate to become the official site for information on or related to the thermodynamics of human life. Topics covered are set to include, but not limited to, the following:

  1. Thermodynamics and human life
  2. HT research and discoveries
  3. HT discussions and postings
  4. Links relevant to thermodynamics and human life
  5. HT news and happenings
  6. HT researchers and writers
  7. Books on or related to thermodynamics and human life

Wherein, all such presentations will strive to appeal to the layperson. In this manner, a difficult topic will be made readily enjoyable. One must remember, through all walks of life, everyone is a novice. Lastly, let's view the simple breakdown in terminology inherent within the words human, thermo, and dynamics:

______________________________

Human = People - built from variations of matter and energy

Thermo = Heat - defined as 'energy in transit'

Dynamics = Movement - being defined by:

  • power, force, distance, time
  • work, change, growth
  • motion, activity, intensity
  • efficiency & equilibrium

Together we have the study of

Heat Movements (between) People
